All funds raiseed will help renovate the Community Center , located at 38 Woodrow Road, Batavia, and deliver services to children and adults with disabilities. Batavia Rotary Club Raffle

The Batavia Rotary Club is now selling tickets for your chance to win a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette or $ 40,000. in cash. Ten additional prizes of $ 500.00 will also be drawn. Drawing Date is September 25, 2010. Winner need not be present to win. Only 3600 tickets will be sold. Get your ticket from any Rotary Member or here at WBTA. Tickets are $ 50.00 per ticket or 3 for $ 100.00. All proceeds benefit health care, youth activities, scholarships and community projects.

6th Annual Genesee ARC Friends and Family 5K

Register now for the Genesee ARC Friends and Family 5K Race and Fun Walk in Memory of Mary Anne Graney to be held Saturday, September 25th, at the Day Habilitation Center site on Barrville Road, Elba. The race, held on an USA Track and Field certified route, gets underway promptly at 10am, followed by the fun walk. If you would like to participate or become a sponsor call Sandy at 585-343-1123 or email at sandyk@rochester.rr.com. Proceeds support scholarships given out by the ARC.

Genesee County Health Department Free Vaccine

The Genesee County Health Department has received a limited supply of free federal/state funded vaccine for individuals 19 years or older who are uninsured or under insured. Vaccines for Human Papillomavirus, Tetannus Diphtheria Pertussis; and Pneumococcal Polysaccharide, will be available. Call to schedule an appointment or for more information 585-344-2580, ext. 5000.

Salvation Army BackPack Program

Families may apply at the Salvation Army, 529 East Main Street, Batavia, from 9am until 3:30pm, from August 1st, thru 25th, for the backpack program. Call Joan or Joyce at 343-6284.
