WCBS Players announe open audtions for,"The Price", by Arthur Miller, Tuesday, March 19, and Wednesday, March 20, at 7pm, in the Warsaw Grange Hall, S. Main Street, Warsaw. Two adult male roles, age 35 - 60; one adult male age 60 - 75; and one adult female age 35 - 60  roles will be cast. (for more information call 535-0512)

Festival of Hope
Genesee Cancer Assistance, Festival of Hope, will be held Saturday, June 4, 10am to 3pm at Batavia Downs, Park Road, Batavia. Go on line now  to register to walk, participate in the Pull and Trot competition, Keg throwing contest or order a ribbon in honor or in memory of a loved one for the tree of hope.  One Day, Three Events, One Purpose. Historic Preservation Needs Volunteers
The Historic Preservation Committee is looking for City of Batavia resident volunteers to submit applications to work on the Historic Preservation Commission. Architects, historians, historic district residents, are particularly asked to volunteer. Go online or to the City Clerk's office.
 Blood Drives
The American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood donors. If you can help save a life, contact the American Red Cross online and schedule an appointment to donate blood. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check in. Individuals who are 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate.
Alzheimer's Support Group - Batavia
The Genesee County Alzheimer's Support Group will meet at the Richmond Memorial Library, 19 Ross Street, Batavia, the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7pm. The group is designed to provide emotional and social support for caregivers and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.
Medical Transportation Program

The Genesee County Office for the Aging is in critial need of volunteers to take individuals to medical appointments outside of Genesee County. Supplemental liability insurance is provided to all volunteers and mileage reimbursement may be available. Contact Dorian Ely, at the Office for the Aging if you are interested in volunteering. 585-343-1611.


United Memorial Medical Center Healthy Living, offers classes on Childbirth, MOMS program, Breast Feeding,  Nutrition counceling, Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support, Diabetes Education Classes, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support . No Cost Mammography is also offered. Call 344-5331 for more information as to dates and registration.
