The Jerome Foundation and United Memorial Medical Center Foundation are accepting nominations for the 2015 Health and Humanitarian Award to be given Friday, December 4, at Terry Hills. Consideration will be given to actual accomplishments achieved through volunteer service and subsequent improvements to quality of life. Applications are now being accepted for United Way Funding Grants for any 501(c)3 not profit in Genesee County. Medical Transportation Program
The Genesee County Office for the Aging is in critial need of volunteers to take individuals to medical appointments outside of Genesee County. Supplemental liability insurance is provided to all volunteers and mileage reimbursement may be available. UMMC ASK A Nurse
United Memorial Hospital will offer, "Ask a Nurse" community outreach program the First Tuesday of each month from 9am to 11am, in the Jerome Center Lobby, 16 Bank Street, Batavia; and on the Third Tuesday of each month from 9am to 11am, in the main lobby of the hospital at 127 North Street, Batavia. A registered nurse will be present to answer questions, check blood pressure, review medications, and provide diabetes risk assessments. The program is free and open to the public on a walk in basis.

Volunteer to Deliver Home Meals
The Office for the Aging is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver Home delivered meals in Batavia. You can volunteer daily or as little as once a month. Each delivery takes approximately one to one and half hours. Easy pick up accessibility and assistance with loading at the Genesee ARC Community Center, Woodrow Road, Batavia.
