I am befuddled as to what a private situation in a hospital setting has to do with anyone being "politically connected". This is a sad situation concerning patients, the hospital and their families and has no business being touted in the political arena. Not only the patients with "politically connected" families are involved in this. Why not say a relative of a well known owner of a real estate company as that is who Lois Gerace is?

I agree with Cathy DeJanneiro's comment regarding "politically connected".
I would also add a couple of comments made in the Batavian, "an elderly member of one of Batavia's most prominent local familiies" and "great-aunt fo Town of Batavia board member'. What do these comments have to do with the situation? Does this give the woman greater credence that someone not beloing to a "politically connected" family. This type of journalism should put a sour taste in the mouths of Batavia residents.
