The story gives the name of a 17 year old, but not the 24 year old. Why? Shouldn't an adult's name be given when they are at an under-age drinking party with possession of marijuana? Is the adult being protected because of who they are or they don't want the public to know who has marijuana around young people? The police priorities seem to be mixed up. The public should have better accountabilies from their local police department.

You make a valid point. The police DID release the names and ages of all involved.
We used the name of the 17-year-old because he allegedly hosted the party and allegedly fought with police.
By policy, we do not use of names of persons charged with underage drinking. There are too many of them and the charge amounts to a an appearance ticket.
Those who promote underage drinking, are treated differently.
The name of the 24-year-old should have been used in the original story and has now been added.
