Along with her brother, she willfully, maliciously verbally and physically attacked a senior citizen HALF her size and ran out of the building without any thought to the possibility that she may have seriously injured the woman, to her van that was illegally parked in a handicapped spot (which is something many seasoned shoplifters do to make a quick getaway) and continued to verbally taunt and spew racist abuse at the people who tried to stop her from leaving the scene of the crime. And now they feel the sentence is too harsh? Again, if she is pregnant, maybe this is a very fortuitous timing of events for Ms. Simmons. Or was it a planned pregnancy because "they don't send pregnant women to jail"? My biggest fear is that justice was served, and it will be vacated because Ms. Simmons has worked the system on her behalf.
