NYS currently has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. NYC has enacted regulations that are a clear violation of the US Constitution, and yet one reads of firearm related crimes in "The Big Apple" on a daily basis. Mayor Bloomberg and the NYC Council have effectively disarmed the law-abiding citizens of "Gotham", but all their efforts to curb gun violence are meaningless when one considers that criminals are not concerned about ANY laws.

If our elected officials would spend more time enforcing the laws that are already on the books to punish people who commit crimes against innocent citizens, (for example those who assault the elderly), there would be less criminals running around the streets.

Amazing how so many elected representatives of the people seem to not understand basic English language... "he right of the people to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED". Or perhaps they feel they are superior enough so as to be allowed to simply ignore what they choose.
