An Olean Man accused of Bank Fraud in Wyoming County.
53 year old Joseph Stevens of Olean is accused of stealing 470-thousand dollars from two business bank accounts held at the Five Start Bank branch in Warsaw.
Stevens worked for the unnamed company as a CPA.
Authorities said he told the business owner on a number of occasions that his business was not doing well, apparently to cover for the mysteriously missing money
Stevens could get 30 years.

Batavia Police report an increase in the number of vehicles reported stolen in the city over the past few weeks.
BPD Detective Eric Hill says there’s one simple thing you can do to keep your car secure:

"Make sure you are not leaving your keys in the vehicle and that the vehicle is locked at all times."

BPD says they have recovered many of the stolen vehicles.
They declined to say how many cases are pending.

It is primary Election Day.
In Genesee County, there are three Republican Party primaries.
In the Town of Bethany, there is a primary for the office of Town Justice;
In Byron the primary is for Town Supervisor and in the Town of Stafford there is a GOP primary for Town Clerk.
The polls in all three towns are open from Noon until 9.

A Livonia couple has been arrested for suspected child abuse.
Stephanie Jason-Whisman and Anthony Pabone have both been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Livingston County deputies say they found the couple’s four year old child with multiple bruises. The child’s day care center reported seeing bruises on the child the day before.

Suspected menacing involving a small child and a weapon lands a Batavia man behind bars.
54 year old Russell Penepent of West Main Street Road in Batavia was accused of menacing his neighbor and his five year old son while displaying a firearm. He was jailed in lieu of $2,500 dollars bail
