Thomas Vanek found the back of the net in overtime to give the Sabres a 4-3 win over the Flyers. Vanek also had a pair of assists while Nathan Gerbe lit the lamp twice for Buffalo, which clinched a playoff berth and sits in seventh in the East. Jhonas Enroth and Ryan Miller combined to make 24 saves in the home win. Danny Briere and Scott Hartnell each had a tally and a helper for the Flyers. Sergei Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 29 shots for Philadelphia, which dropped from second to fourth in the Eastern Conference with the loss.
