A case of rape in the Village of Oakfield.
The victim is a girl under the age of 15.
Under arrest is: 27year-old Raymond Allard, originally from Fall River, Massachusetts. Most recently, deputies say, Allard has been living out of a Town of Batavia motel.
Allard has been charged with Rape in the Second degree, a felony. He’s locked up in the Genesee County jail on $100,000 bail.
BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York has locked out hundreds of union workers at its downtown Buffalo offices after contract negotiations fell apart. The lockout affects 390 union workers.
Union officials say negotiations had stalled in recent days over issues such as job security and the ability for the company to outsource work. No new negotiations have been scheduled.
It looks to be a record setting month for rain in Rochester. As of early Tuesday, the rainfall total for the city was just a quarter-inch shy of the all-time record for April at five-point-four-one inches, set back in 1929. Scattered showers are expected in the region throughout the week, which means breaking the record is almost a certainty.
