The 2010 edition of the Valentines for Our Troops Campaign ended in a big way.
American Legion Post 576 in LeRoy was filled yesterday with personal care items donated by local families and organizations for our service men and women overseas.
Last year, 96 packages were sent. Organizers say this year, that figure is sure to grow.
A memorable moment during yesterday’s WBTA broadcast from the Legion in LeRoy was a telephone call from a local serviceman stationed in Afghanistan.
Specialist James Debottis is from Bergen and is seven months into his tour in Afghanistan. Via WBTA, he spoke to the crowd at the the Serviceman's Club in LeRoy.

He said the gifts from home are really appreciated

There is still time to submit the military address our your service man or woman deployed overseas. Contact the American Legion in LeRoy or Martha Baily at WBTA.
