Batavia Police say they have caught the graffiti artist that tagged at least half a dozen downtown buildings last February.
23-year-old Mark Shareiko of Albion has been charged with six counts of making graffiti.
Detective Todd Crossett said information from the public lead to the arrest.
Even though Shareiko's so-called "art" used some obscure symbols, often associated with street gangs, Shareiko has no known gang connection, police said.
Although Shareiko lived in Albion, police said he was spending a lot of time here last winter.
Authorities in Wyoming County today continue to probe an off road vehicle accident that claimed a life.
65-yedar-old Daniel Murtha of Warsaw was killed on Wednesday night when his ATV rolled over on a path near Route 78 in Gainsville.
Two passengers on the vehicle were injured. 53-year-old Pamela Slocum of Warsaw suffered a head injury and was taken to Strong Memorial. Another passenger, David Salamone of Gainsville suffered a minor leg injury.
