Embattled New York Congressman Anthony Weiner has resigned. He is the third lawmaker to step down this year in a sex scandal. Weiner, a New York Democrat, battled a growing controversy over sexually explicit online exchanges with women. In February, Western New York Republican Congressman Chris Lee resigned after sending a shirtless photo of himself to a woman online. Lee and Weiner are both married. In May, Nevada Republican Senator John Ensign called it quits amid a growing flap over an extramarital affair. Ensign stepped down before a scathing ethics report alleged he may have broken the law while trying to cover up the affair.
An Oakfield man busted for allegedly growing some homemade pot.
26-year-old Jeremy Lyons of Judge Road in Oakfield was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Batavia.
Police say they’ve been looking for Lyons for nearly a year.
Lyons was arrested on the spot and jailed in lieu of $7,500 bail.
