City of Batavia Director of Public Works Sally Kuzon announced today that road closures pursuant to the North Street sewer replacement project will last until school is back in session.
The city has contracted Tom Greenauer Development, Inc. of Elma, NY, to complete the work, which includes sewer line replacement, driveway-to-road connections and road milling and repaving. That work is expected to last from next Tuesday, July 5th thru Friday, September 9th.
Barricades will be opened to allow access to residential driveways, and emergency vehicles will be allowed on all of the affected streets as needed. But all thru-traffic will be cut-off for the period of work. At some periods, driveway access will be cut-off as well, but parking areas will be made available in the roadway.
