One driver suffered a broken wrist and was charged with Failure to Yield following a noon-time accident in Darien early this afternoon.

17-year-old Dean Cullinan was driving his 1995 Plymouth minivan southbound on County Line Road. He told investigators he stopped, did not see anyone coming, and continued through the intersection. That's when a second vehicle smashed into his front-end. That vehicle was a 2011 Honda minivan driven by 45-year-old Kelly Ford of Clarence. Ford's van was carrying five young girls between the ages of 9 and 13.

Ford's van was forced off the road and into a ditch in the collision. Passengers in her car suffered only minor scrapes and bruises in the crash.
