A Batavia man is accused of Assault and Menacing after allegedly choking a member of his family.
During the fracas early yesterday morning, the victim suffered cuts to his hand and required hospital treatment.
39-year-old Andrew Crimes of Ellicott Street was jailed in lieu of 5-thousand dollars bail.
Police are searching for a suspect in a burglary on Maple Street in the city.
Now, they’re asking for the public’s help.
Within the past several days, a residence was broken into and several video game components were missing, including an X-Box console and controller.

At midnight this Sunday, the first legally recognized same-sex wedding in New York State is set to occur at Niagara Falls.
Kitty Lambert and Cheryle Rudd say they have waited over a decade for New York to recognize their relationship.
They have five children and 12 grandchildren.
The couple will exchange vows on Luna Island, at the foot of Niagara Falls.
An investigation continues after a tour bus bound for Niagara Falls from Washington, D.C., crashed into a median on Interstate 390 in Bath on Sunday.
Two people were killed in the accident and another 35 were injured. Four of them were critically injured.
Preliminary reports say a blown tire may have caused the driver to lose control of the bus. The accident caused major traffic delays.
