A weekend accident blamed on bad weather has claimed the life of a Corfu woman.
22-year-old Lindsay Burleson was killed Saturday morning when she lost control of her vehicle on snow covered Walden Avenue in the Town of Lancaster.
Her car was then struck by an on coming New York State snowplow.
New York State Police again find themselves at the center of a controversy surrounding a governor.
This time, the Attorney General is investigating whether State Police improperly influenced a woman who accused one of the governor’s top aides of domestic abuse.
Two years ago, the governors State Police detail was investigated after then Governor Eliot Spitzer’s contact with a prostitute at a Washington Hotel. Troopers were also called on the carpet for allegedly spying on the governor’s political enemies.
The man who founded one of Western New York's largest real estate development firms has died. Max Farash was 95-years-old. He began the Farash Corporation back in 1949, eventually growing it into an empire worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Farash came to America from Turkey 90 years ago.
