The names of the victims in this morning's accident have been released.

The driver, 25-year-old Corey Hemmer of Elba, was reportedly westbound on Route 262 in Elba, when he ran off the north shoulder of the road at about 5:30a.m., and struck a tree head-on.

Hemmer had two passengers in the vehicle: 18-year-old Megan Ann Gregg of Elba, and 19-year-old Aaron Pahuta of Warsaw. All three became entrapped in the vehicle following the crash, and had to be extricated.

Hemmer and Pahuta were taken via Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, with serious injuries. They are described in "serious to critical condition."

Gregg was flown in a helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She is listed in critical condition.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

The accident scene has been clear and Route 262 near Route 98 is now open to traffic.
The three victims were described as two young men and a woman, believed to be in their early 20's.

Third helicopter has landed, two victims have been extricated from wreckage.

Second helicopter has arrived on scene. At least one victim still trapped in wreckage.

Extrication equipment from the Town of Batavia has been dispatched

A serious accident has been reported on Route 262 in Elba.
Three ambulances and two Mercy Flight Helicopters have been dispatched to the scene.
A landing zone for the medical helicopters is being established at the Elba Recreation Hall.
The location of the accident is on Route 262 just east of Route 98 in Elba.
Preliminary reports indicated a vehicle had struck a tree.
We will have more information as it becomes available.
