The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Freeze Warning for most of Western New York, including Genesee County.
The Freeze Warning is in effect from Midnight tonight until 9 tomorrow morning.
Temperatures are forecast in the upper 20s to around 30. Temperatures will drop below freezing for several hours which will likely bring an end to the growing season.
Neighbors have come to the aid of a popular LeRoy couple burned out of their home.
Flames swept through the West Main Rd. home of Chuck and Ellie Lathan yesterday morning.
They were on their way to work when the fire erupted.
The interior of the home was gutted. The cause remains under investigation.
Genesee County’s unemployment rate has inched up over the latest reporting period.
The state Department of Labor reports the September jobless rate in Genesee County stood at 6.2 percent up three-tenths of a point from August but still blow the 6.7 percent unemployment rate reported a year ago.

City Hall thinks there may be room for another mall in downtown Batavia.
Julie Pacatte is the city’s Economic Development Coordinator.
She commented on a proposal to build a "mall" on the site of the old Latina’s Grocery Store on Ellicott Street.
Pacatte said plans floated by Vito Gaulteri for the "Ellicott Court Mall" could succeed, where Batavia’s first mall failed.
The Ellicott Court mall has one probable tenant, the Save-a-Lot grocery store. That project may be helped along with a $100,000 state grant that the city has applied for.
Coyote sightings in a Brighton neighborhood have led to changes at a suburban Rochester school.
Council Rock Primary School canceled outdoor recess earlier this week after two neighbors told school officials they had seen coyotes in the area.
Outdoor recess was back on yesterday, but children were being closely supervised and food was not allowed outside.
