The murder of Kathleen Byham last month in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Albion has led to two more arrests. 28 year old Jose Torrez Gonzales and 21 year old Marcos Gomez-Perez, who are both illegal aliens from Mexico, have been charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy in connection with Byham’s death. Both men are alleged to have stood by and watched, as 24-year-old Honduran illegal Luis Flamenco-Rodriguez allegedly tried to steal a woman's keys, then viciously stabbed her. Both men were in the ICE Federal Detention Facility here in Batavia, when they were arrested yesterday morning. Both were arraigned and are now in the Orleans County Jail with bail set at 10 thousand dollars. However ICE agents have placed detainers against both men, in the event that their bail is posted.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has missed the deadline for releasing documents regarding New York's finances. The deadline for the six-month report on the state's budget condition came and went October 31st without Cuomo's office releasing any numbers. Cuomo has said the report will be released when the numbers are less "squishy," though conservation and liberal watchdog groups are both upset at the missed deadline, saying previous governors have managed to meet the deadline in much more troubled economic times than now.
