The man accused of breaking into a Bergen church and stealing money from the coffers, is now indicted on Burglary and Larceny charges.
18-year-old Jose Morales of Rochester is accused of breaking down the back door to Bergen’s United Methodist Church last January. The Sheriff’s Department told WBTA News at the time that the suspect had taken enough coins “to fill a mayonnaise jar.”
He also allegedly broke some file cabinets and a few pieces of furniture.
Jose Morales will await a local court appearance on the charges.
Meanwhile, he’s also believed connected to more church break-ins in Monroe County.
