A Lake Effect Snow Watch for our area has now been upgraded to a Lake Effect Snow Warning.
The National Weather Service reports the Lake Effect Snow Warning is active from 10pm tonight until 6pm tomorrow night.
Meteorologist John Hitchcock with the National Weather Service said the heaviest snowfall is only going to affect a small portion of Genesee County.
“Most places will see a dusting to an inch or two of snow,” Hitchcock said.
The heaviest snow is expected to fall in the northwest corner of Genesee County in the Town of Alabama.
“They might see 5 to 8 inches of new snow,” Hitchcock said, “stating overnight tonight and continuing through tomorrow.”
