Electricity Company National Grid has announced it will launch 2012 with significantly lower rates, saving Genesee County homeowners an average of $75 to $100 dollars next year.
Steve Brady is with National Grid. He explains that, when the grid purchased former power company Niagra Mohawk back in 2001, they were slapped with an over half-billion dollar regulatory fee. Local businesses and other larger-style electricity customers will see up to 10% or 11% reduction in power costs next year. The savings, expected to last through 2013.
