The death of a young Batavia mother remains a mystery tonight.
Police have identified the woman whose body was found off of East Main Street late last night as 24-year-old Alyce Huntoon.
Alyce was found unresponsive in her car, in a parking lot around 10:30pm.
She was taken to United Memorial Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. But, an autopsy performed today failed to reveal any physical injuries on Alyce’s body.
Batavia Police Detective Patrick Corona says the investigation will continue:
“We have items of evidence we will be submitting for toxicology. But we will not just wait for results. We will continue to interview people and track down her (Alyce’s) timeline.”
Alyce Huntoon was a waitress at the local Tully’s restaurant. She was the mother of two children, aged 2 and 3.
Police say she was working at the restaurant last night, but the events just prior to her death, are as yet unclear.
