The illegal immigrant charged with a shocking stabbing murder last fall in Albion, is now accused of beating a fellow jail inmate.
Luis Rodriguez-Flamenco, 24, is charged with Felony Assault after a fight in the Orleans County Jail.
Undersheriff Steven Smith tells WBTA News that Rodriguez-Flamenco was arguing with the other man – when suddenly, Rodriguez tore into his victim, raining blows down on the man’s head.
"(The victim) had some facial lacerations, and he had some X-rays to make sure there were no broken bones," said the Undersheriff. "He did have a cut above his right eye that required seven stitches to close."
Smith says the victim is under jail supervision to make sure he has no signs of a concussion after the brawl.
Luis Rodriguez-Flamenco has been placed in solitary confinement since the fight.
He’s still being held without bail on Murder charges stemming from the incident last September. Rodriguez-Flamenco is accused of stabbing Kathleen Byham to death in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
