The Elba Lady lancers make history.
Elba has won its first ever New York State Girls Basketball Class D Championship.
Elba defeated Argyle High School yesterday 48-34.
The team posts a perfect 25-0 season.
The lead changed hands five times. Argyle last led the match in the middle of the 3rd-quarter, 25-24. After that, it was all Elba.
Elba junior McKenzie Bezon was named tournament MVP.
The championship win was the first ever statewide title for Elba in basketball. 
Hundreds of fans welcomed the team back to Elba last night.

A fatal highway accident near Warsaw.
Two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 20A and 238 yesterday afternoon.
The driver of one car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people in the other car were taken to the hospital and expected to be OK.
No names have been released.

Also from Wyoming County, a felony arrest under Leandra’s law.
State Police arrested 37-year-old Tara Diffin of Middlebury for Drunk Driving.
Troopers said Tara’s two year old child was in the car.
The arrest was made on East Bethany Road in the Town of Middlebury yesterday afternoon.

A Batavia man arrested early yesterday on a felony charge of Drunk Driving.
36-year-old Jason Wolf of Hutchins Street was collared by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies along Route 77 in Corfu.
He was also charged with driving without a license..

The temperature reached 78-degrees in Rochester yesterday, breaking the old record of 77 set back in 1894.  
High temperatures are expected to stay in the 70's through Thursday.  Forecasters say Rochester could be on its way to the warmest March on record with average temperatures so far more than eleven degrees above normal.
In Batavia, we reached an unofficial high of 78-degrees as measured at the State School for the Blind.
