Our two week stretch of good weather has come to an end. We can expect cloudy skies today with a chance of showers this morning before turning mostly sunny this afternoon. Our high for the day should be around 60. Tonight it will be chilly with lows in the lower 30’s. Monday night into Tuesday morning the temperature is expected to reach the mid 20’s, No more 70’s or 80’s is in the week long forecast.
An altercation at a home on South Main in Batavia has led to the arrest of 43 year old John McGrath of South Main Street. McGrath has been charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest and harassment. He was charged after allegedly grabbing the victim and throwing the victim into a closet door. He’s in jail with bail set at 5 thousand dollars.
Two persons have been arrested by Genesee County Sheriff’s
Deputies for hosting an underage drinking party. The arrests were made at a home on South Street Road in the Town of Pavilion early Saturday morning. 24 year old Christopher Logsdon of Big Tree Road in Pavilion and 22 year old Robert Curry of the Dillon Road in Pavilion were both charged with unlawfully dealing with a child. Sheriff’s Deputies went to the home after receiving a complaint reported to the Genesee County Tip Line.
A Batavia woman was arrested Saturday evening on a charge of felony DWI. She’s identified as 40 year old Tammy Chojencki of the Pike Road. She was arrested at her residence by Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies following an investigation of an alleged domestic incident which occurred in here vehicle. She will be arraigned next month in Batavia Town Court.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Greater Rocheser International Airport this afternoon. At that time Delta Airlines will announce the launching of new flights between the Rochester Airport and New York’s LaGuardia airport. Beginning today the airline will be offering 4 daily non-stop flights between the two airports. Delta will be operating a dual-class regional jet with onboard Wi-Fi service.
