This week one local organization is giving back. The Genesse ARC along with all the 55-chapters of NYSARC will be doing some volunteer work. They will be holding a food drive to benefit food link, helping deliver food for meals on wheels, lending a hand at local animal shelters, Hospice and the United Way. Coordinator of Community Relations at the Genesse ARC Sandy Konfederath said they love to give back to a community who has done so much for them.
“It really is a way for us to showcase that we do actually everyday of the year to help other non-profit agencies in our community,” said Konfederath.
The community can do their part too. People can drop off canned food donations for foodlink at The Genesse ARC Day Habilitation Centerat 4603 Barrville Road in Elba or 38 Woodrow Road in Batavia. Donations must be recieved before this Friday.
