State Tax Exemption For Clothing

The State sales tax exemption has expanded for clothing. The limit has doubled on clothing and shoe purchases. Items that are sold for $110 or less will be exempt from the 4% State sales tax. People would still pay the 4% Genesee County tax. The current exemption is for items sold for less than $55. The new exemption rule will start on Sunday.
