A new business opening up in Batavia and it is moving into one of the city’s newest developments.
Brokerage house Merrill Lynch is setting up shop in the Masse Place complex.
An announcement is expected later today.
Merrill Lynch is expected to employ six to eight financial planners and support staff.
Many of the brokers worked here for Smith Barney before Merrill took over and moved the office to Buffalo.
A Freeze Watch has been posted for Genesee County and all of Western New York from late tonight through tomorrow morning.
A “watch” means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
Crops and sensitive vegetation could be vulnerable.
New rankings out of Albany compare the health of every county in New York State. As The numbers show Geensee County was not as healthy as it was a year ago. Read Ashley Hassett's story HERE:
In Livingston County, a 22-year-old man has been charged with assaulting – a three-month-old. Jeffrey Rock of West Sparta is facing felony charges of assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Livingston County deputies say Rock recklessly caused injury to the baby.
Rock has been locked up in lieu of bail.
New York Congresswoman Louise Slaughter has broken a leg.
Slaughter was in New York City Monday for an event when she accidentally fell.
Her office says Slaughter remains in good spirits and plans to be back at work when the House reconvenes on April 16th. Congresswoman Slaughter is 82.
