The State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities or OPWDD has launched their new and improved website.

The original website offered information and resources for people with developmental disabilities and their families, but their new website is a lot easier to use.

Director of Development at the Genesee ARC Shelley Falitico said they are excited about the changes. She said they refer people to the site to find a number of different services daily.

"So it's very easy to navigate, it's very colorful and it's updated. OPW has been around for a long time and they've gone through some changes so now all the information is current on this website," said Falitico.

Falitico said the site can direct people to things like residential services and it also alerts people about changes in services.

The Genesee ARC receives funding from OPWDD.
