On Friday April 20th, Batavia will host A triple-A baseball team at Dwyer Stadium.
The Scranton-Wikes-Barre or Empire State Yankees will be taking on the Norfolk Tides at 7:05p.m.
So far seats are still available.
The Scranton Yankees are the farm club team for the New York Yankees and their roster carries players who have seen time with in the big leagues including catcher Francisco Cervelli and infielder Ramiro Pena.
There is also relief pitcher Pat Venditte who can pitch with either arm, right or left. Venditte played for Staten Island in 2008 and faced the Batavia Muckdogs in a game in Staten Island.
Scranton is 6 and 8 following last night’s 5 to 3 win over Rochester at Frontier Field.
It’s the first of four games this week-end at Dwyer Stadium.
Congresswoman Kathy Hochul will be throwing the first pitch on Friday.
