Batavia Police bust up a brawl at Batavia Gardens Apartments.
It happened early yesterday morning.
Five young Rochester men were arrested on various charges.
One was arrested for striking a police officer.
Two of the five were turned over to Rochester Police on warrants there.
Two were jailed here in lieu of $500 bail.
An Oakfield man is behind county bars this morning for allegedly threatening to punch a woman who was seven months pregnant.
25-year-old Joel Prouty of Maple Avenue, Oakfield, was arrested early Sunday morning following a domestic dispute.
Deputies say Prouty violated an order of protection by slamming the woman into a doorway, threatening to punch her in the stomach and then smashed her cell phone when she tried to call for help.
Prouty then allegedly held her against her will when she tried to flee.
Prouty is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Police in LeRoy are asking for help from the public to find those responsible for damaging and trying to steal a piece of construction equipment.
Police said sometime between Friday morning and Sunday afternoon, someone attempted to hot-wire an excavator from Craigie Street.
The machine was being used for a gas line replacement.

Three people were trapped under a single story apartment building that collapsed in Mount Morris over the weekend.
A portion of the apartment complex on Begole Road was being demolished by the owner with a back hoe when it collapsed and landed on three men.
Two of the victims were working on the demolition; while a third person was a bystander.
All three were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Deputies said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
