Police are still investigating a stabbing that took place in Downtown Batavia Saturday evening.
Detective Todd Crossett said they are looking for a 5' 9", young white male with a teardrop tattoo by his right eye who allegedly slashed A man in his early 20’s in the face in the parking lot off of Center Street.
No arrests have been made in the case. Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Crossett said the stabbing grew out of a fight among four people.
"I did want to clarify that there is no connection to the youth center, this just happened to be some people on the street and there was no connection to the city youth center. The information that we have is that they were just walking down the street or they pulled into the parking lot and that's where the altercation happened," said Crossett.
Crossett said the victim told investigators that he didn't know his attacker, his condition is still unknown.
