A Byron teenager who crashed a golf cart last November killing her passenger pleads guilty.
18 year-old Courtney Greene pleaded guilty in Genesee County Court Monday morning to charges of criminally negligent homicide and driving while her ability was impaired.
The plea was arranged between Greene’s lawyer and the District Attorney’s office.
On November 26th, Greene was operating a golf cart on the Byron-Holly Road when it was struck from behind.
A passanger in the golf cart 18-year-old Zachary Rusin, was critically injured and died the next day.
Greene had originally been charged with Vehicular Manslaughter.
In exchange for her plea, Greene faces 1 1/3 to four years in prison at her sentencing September 6th.
