The Genesee County Sherriff’s Office has charged the man they believe fired a gun outside of a window of a moving truck in Basom.

28-year old Eric Easton of Alabama has been charged with two counts of reckless endangerment.

The charges stemmed from an incident that happened Tuesday night when people living on and around the Tonawanda Indian Reservation reported to police that their homes were being shot at by a person driving by in a pick-up truck.

That same night Easton was taken into custody by the Erie County Sheriffs department for DWI and released on his own recognizance when Genesee County Deputies swooped in and arrested him for the alleged gun fire.

Easton is in jail on $100,000 bail. He will answer to the charges in Alabama Town Court on August 2nd
