Attica police make an arrest in a church break-in.
38-year-old Justin Wheeler of Attica has been charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief.
Police say Wheeler broke into St. Luke’s Church in Attica on Tuesday night.
When police responded, they say Wheeler was spotted fleeing the scene.
Wheeler is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
LeRoy Police are asking the public for help in finding the person who broke into a home on South Street in the Village.
The burglary was reported between the hours of 1 and 3 in the afternoon last Saturday.
Police say jewelry was taken.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the LeRoy Police at 345-6350.
The Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted a LeRoy woman on two counts of felony Drunk Driving.
45-year-old Lonnie Fairbanks was indicted on felony charges, because of previous DWI convictions within the past 10 years.
Some employees of the state Public Service Commission will have a bit of explaining to do to the state Inspector General's office. Acting IG Catherine Leahy Scott released a report showing the employees accepted more than seven-thousand dollars in gifts and meals from regulated utilities over the past eight years. In addition, according to the report, two employees shared confidential information with an outside consultant.
