Genesee County has been ranked 4th in the nation for food processing growth.
Business Facilities magazine recognized the county for the third year in a row due to the 15-hundred area jobs created by companies such as O-AT-KA Milk, Yancey’s Fancy, and Allan’s Canning.
GCEDC President and CEO Steve Hyde says the number of jobs is expected to increase soon thanks to the construction of two new yogurt processing plants in the Genesee Valley Agri-Business Park. He says the ranking is an honor and believes the business park will continue to drive economic growth in Genesee County.
