A total of 91 persons were arrested last night at the Brad Paisley Virtual Reality Concert at Darien Lake. 81 of the arrests were for underage drinking. None of the 91 is from Genesee County. 27 year old Benjamin Cramer of Varysburg was arrested for Public Lewdness and resisting arrest. He’s in jail with bail set at 500 dollars.
22 year old Jessica Juda of Delevan and 22 year old Daniel Blonski of Hamilton, Ontario were both arrested for trespass and jailed on 100 dollars bail. 5 other persons were arrested for possession of marijuana and were issued appearance tickets. 29 year old Erik Schneckenberger of West Seneca was arrested for Harassment after allegedly striking another person. He was also issued an appearance ticket.
The award for coming the farthest to be arrested is from Phoenix, Arizona and that was for underage drinking.
Five persons have been arrested in connection with a string of assaults and robberies of migrant farm workers in Wyoming County.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies say the investigation began in July when a migrant worker was robbed in the Town of Castile. The victim had been strangled unconscious and robbed by five individuals who made off with his wallet and other personal belonging. The victim was able to provide law enforcement with descriptions of the suspect.
The five arrested are identified as 19 year old Melissa cotton of Farmersville, 19 year old Gunner Northrup of Arcade, 19 year old Brittany Wiedmann of Sardinia, 20 year old Timothy Kuhn of Franklinville, and 24 year old Allen Seckler of Franklinville. All are in jail on charges of robbery with bail ranging from 50 thousand to 200 thousand dollars.
Genesee County Sheriffs Deputies have arrested 23 year old Robert Ziolkowski of East Main Street in Batavia on a change of petit larceny. Ziolkowski was allegedly observed by Kmart Loss Prevention Officers of stealing items totaling nearly 41 dollars from the Batavia K-Mart store. Ziolkowski was given an appearance ticket.
Another cooler day is in store for our area today. Highs are expected to be just in the low 70’s. Yesterday the mercury reached 77 for a high with a low of 64…for just about an average August 11th day, There is a 40 percent chance of showers today from late morning on.
Today is the final day of the second annual Western New York Round-up Rally. More than 25 hundred bikers were expected at the bike rally that wraps up today,. If you drove down Main Street yesterday, motorcycles were lined up all along the south side of the street. The center of the rally was Jackson and School streets.
Because of rain in Niagara County of Friday, tomorrow’s scheduled repaving of Bank and State Streets has been pushed off until Tuesday. Both streets will be open on Monday.
