Investigators today continue to look for the cause of a fire that killed three horses in Orleans County.
Fire swept a horse barn at the Lone Oak Stables on Norway Road in Kendall early yesterday.
The horses were the only animals in the barn.
An off duty firemen spotted the flames from a distance but the blaze had been burning for some time.
A Genesee County Sheriff’s deputy, posing as a pizza deliveryman, has arrested a Byron woman for identity theft.
21-year-old Alisha Ballard of Byron Road is facing numerous charges for allegedly using a stolen credit card to make purchases at a Byron Pizzeria.
Deputies also allege Alisha stole credit card numbers from customers while employed at the Citgo gas station in Batavia.
Deputy Brad Mazur delivered the pie and after Alisha signed the suspect credit card slip, - he busted her – all in 30 minutes or less.
The Buffalo father accused of fatally beating his infant son has been denied bail. Prosecutors say 26-year-old Darnell Miller pleaded not guilty to one count of second-degree murder. Miller is accused of savagely beating his eight-month-old last October. Miller could face a mandatory life term if convicted.
Bills fans will get one final look this season at quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the starting lineup. Fitzpatrick is likely to get the start for the final game of the year against Indianapolis. He had been nursing an ankle injury but was taking practice on Wednesday with the stating team. Brian Brohm, who started in last week's embarrassing loss to Atlanta was taking reps with the second string team.
