It is now official – Steve Hawley is running for re-election as State Assemblyman in the 139th District.
Hawley made his announcement to a group of about 100 supporters on the steps of the County Courthouse this afternoon.
Hawley reiterated that he’s fed up with partisan politics in Albany and says he’s ready to buck the trend.
Sheldon Silver is the Assembly Speaker and a Democrat.
Steve Hawley has served for four years in his
Assembly seat, which was previously held by his father.
Hawley was joined by his family and New York State Senator Mike Ranzenhofer in making the announcement today.
