New York congresswoman Kathy Hochul and her Republican challenger Chris Collins are set to meet for a televised debate tonight.
It takes place at 7 PM at the WNED television studios in Buffalo.
The hour-long debate will be broadcast in the following formats:
- Television: WNED-TV (channel 17 in Buffalo), WGRZ-TV (channel 2 in Buffalo), WHEC-TV (channel 10 in Rochester), WXXI-TV (channel 11 in Batavia - delayed)
- Radio: WBFO-FM (88.7), WNED-AM (970), WXXI-AM (1370)
- Online: wbfo.org (audio only), wgrz.com, buffalonews.com, wxxi.og (audio only), democratandchronicle.com
A panel of three reporters will question the candidates.
The public is encouraged to email questions for the candidates to debate@wned.org. Questions will be selected prior to the broadcast.
The newly redrawn 27th Congressional District covers the suburbs and rural areas between the two western New York cities. Hochul won a special election just over a year ago.
