The LeRoy School District is the most efficient in Genesee County.
That’s according to research from Buffalo Business First. It used data from the New York State Education department and evaluated each district’s spending per pupil, the ratio of students-to-administrative staffers, and the share of the district budget devoted to debt service.
The best scores go to low spending, high pupil-staffer ratios and small amounts of debt service.
LeRoy is ranked No. 55 overall of 430 total Upstate Districts evaluated.
Yesterday, Business First released its research of highest paid teachers by district. In Genesee County, Byron-Bergen ranked the highest on the list at No. 223.
Here is more information on the rankings.
