A Batavia teen is facing several charges after she allegedly threatened to “slice up” up a victim while holding a knife.
Batavia Police say 17-year-old Abigail Stroman of State Street is facing a variety of charges including harassment, menacing and criminal mischief.
Stroman threatened to strike to victim and broke a window with her fist at a residence at Lyon Street.

A Batavia man is facing charges after a large fight inside the bar at the Days Inn Hotel.
22-year-old Jamie Alford of North Spruce St. is charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was remanded to Genesee County Jail in lieu of $500 dollars bail.

A Batavia man is accused of driving while intoxicated with a person under the age of 16 in the car.
48-year-old James Alvut of the Putnam Road in Batavia was stopped while driving with the child. Police say he refused a chemical test.
Deputies said Alvut had a previous DWI conviction, making this charge a felony. The alleged Leandra’s Law violation adds another felony count.
He sits in Genesee County jail with bail set at 10-thousand dollars.
