Governor Andrew Cuomo's residence in Westchester County is one of thousands of homes still without power due to Hurricane Sandy. It's been ten days since Sandy hit the region, and Cuomo remains livid at the number of power outages that remain around the state.
Cuomo’s home in New Castle is one of 31,000 residences still in the dark. Cuomo says he's hopeful utility crews will be able to quickly take care of power outages triggered by the nor'easter storm that hit the region Wednesday.
Cuomo has also reportedly taken action against a government employee for misusing workers during the storm. According to the New York Times, Cuomo has fired the Chief of Emergency Management because he diverted crews to remove a tree from his own driveway during Hurricane Sandy -- basically amounting to an abuse of power considering the massive need for crews elsewhere.
