The governor's Division of Budget will hold its first official hearings starting today. The hearings will include agency chiefs outlining their official budget requests for the upcoming 2013-14 fiscal year.
New York's budget gap was expected to be just under $1 billion, but Governor Cuomo has said he expects that to grow due to billions of dollars of damage done by Hurricane Sandy.
