NHL labor talks are picking up intensity.

The two sides met off and on throughout the day for more than eight hours Wednesday, bringing the negotiation time to more than 17 hours in the last two days as they continue to work toward a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Negotiations will continue today, according to the Players' Association. The current work stoppage has already forced the cancellation of 422 regular season games, the Winter Classic and All-Star Weekend.
