Authorities are questioning some of the statements made by the victim of a weekend robbert attempt.
35-year-old Carlos Torres of Batavia said he was shot twice, in the back, as he walked along a road in Pembroke.
He said a vehicle pulled up from behind, someone demanded his wallet, and then Torres said he was shot.

Today Chief Deputy Jerry Brewster with the Genesee County Sheriff's Office said investigators have some doubts about Torres' statements:
Torres is listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon at Strong memorial Hospital in Rochester.
