Andrew Cuomo is a popular Governor. That is the finding of a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday morning.
Cuomo gets a 74 percent approval mark in this poll, the sixth-straight month he has received support of 70 percent or more in the Quinnipiac poll. Eighty-percent of those polled say Cuomo did a "good or excellent job" handling Hurricane Sandy.
The Quinnipiac Poll also indicates that about half of New York voters are in favor of the new coalition government in the state senate. Senate Republicans and the IDC joined forces and the poll revealed 53 percent think the coalition is a “good way to create effective government.” Thirty-percent characterized it as a “power grab.”
