A Rochester man was arrested for DWI in Pembroke this morning after Sheriff’s Deputies discovered him passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in a corn field.
Joshua Cresswell, 20, is facing charges for driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08.
Deputies were called to an area near Little Falls Road after a complaint of a motor vehicle accident. Cresswell is scheduled to appear in Pembroke Court Jan. 10.
A traffic stop in Wyoming County results in two arrests.
Mary Beardslee was pulled over for an equipment infraction, but during the roadside interview, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies noticed that the vehicle’s registration was stolen.
Beardslee was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, uninspected motor vehicle, and displayed forged certificate of inspection.
One of Beardslee’s passengers, Julio Garcia-Esteban, was found to be an undocumented immigrant from Mexico who had previously been deported following a separate arrest in Castile in 2010. Garcia-Esteban presented a fake name to deputies and unsuccessfully tried to flee the scene in nearby woods.
Beardslee is scheduled to appear in Town of Middlebury Court Jan. 7. Garcia-Esteban was later held at the Federal Detention Facility in Batavia where he would await deportation.
